The Basics
What states are you available in?
Sporttrade offers sports betting in Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, New Jersey, and Virginia. We're looking at several other states in 2025 and beyond, pending regulatory approval.
Our iOS app is available in all of our states (AZ, CO, IA, NJ, and VA), while Android is currently only available in AZ, NJ, and VA. We are expecting to release Android in CO and IA in late 2024.
How is Sporttrade similar to, and different from a traditional sportsbook?
Just like every other sportsbook you’ve ever tried, you create an account with Sporttrade, you deposit funds on Sporttrade, and you’re able to place bets across a wide range of markets. So in that way, it’s very similar.
However, there are a few key differences:
The prices are so much better
In general across main markets, you’ll notice about half the vig that other sportsbooks offer (so about -105 pregame, and -107 in-game). Plus, the limits on each market are clear and transparent, for everyone.
Cashing out is significantly fairer
Have you ever placed a $100 bet, and seen the cashout value is $80 just moments later? Not the case on Sporttrade. You’ll get way closer to fair value cashing out your bets on our platform.
Concierge Service
Sporttrade is a team of betting experts here to ensure a smooth and consistent betting experience. For players looking to bet significantly higher than posted limits, we offer a private brokerage service where players are able to negotiate big bets at market-leading prices.
Beyond that, Sporttrade has a feature that makes in-game wagering more fun, and more intuitive versus any sportsbook you’ve ever tried. It’s called Probability Odds. This means you have the option to see prices offered as percentages. For example, Eagles Moneyline may be offered at 54% to start the game. You have the ability to simply bet at those odds. Then as the % chance of the Eagles to win the game changes, you can cash out at that win %.
Why are the odds on Sporttrade so much better than other books?
On a normal sportsbook, the price you see (think -110/-110) is sourced from that Sportsbook. They’ve come up with that price.
While Sporttrade is the counterparty to all your wagers (we hold your funds, pay you out when you win, etc), we source the prices from many places, including from licensed trading teams.
Those licensed teams must compete to offer the best price. For example, the Twins are playing the Padres. One licensed trading team offers -108 on the Twins Moneyline, and another offers -106. Sporttrade customers see -106 as the offered price.
It is because of this competitive element to how Sporttrade sources prices that the prices are almost always better than what you’d see at another sportsbook.
Does Sporttrade offer live trading?
Live trading on Sporttrade is one of our best features. On other platforms, you’re probably used to seeing -115/-115 lines, spinny wheels that reject your order, and really bad cash out values.
Sporttrade is entirely different. You’ll regularly see lines at half the vig, near-instant order acceptance, and significantly higher cashout values.
Beyond just great prices, our in-play experience gives you the opportunity to think about sports trading in an entirely new way. When you place your trade, we’ll show you the % odds price you got on that bet. As the % chance of the outcome changes, you can sell (cash out) at that % chance. Buy low, sell high!
Welcome to the future of in-play trading!

Finding and Placing your first trade
Once you’ve loaded your account, you’re ready to start! Sporttrade offers two odds settings; percent odds and American odds. We think % odds is much easier.
In either setting, you’re going to see the other odds format on the same view. This is perfect for players that want to try percent odds mode, but don’t want to lose seeing the American odds price. You’ll get the two side by side.
To find an outcome, tap on a contest. From there, you’ll see the “6-box”; the moneyline, point spread, and total along with a menu of prop options depending on the sport.
Scroll down to see alternate lines, and scroll left to right across the top nav bar to check out derivative markets like 1st half/1st quarter, player props, and game props.
To make a trade, simply tap on a price.
After you open the order window, you’ll see price, and the limit available at that price. Enter your amount, and you’ll see the Place Order button populated with a Cost of your order, as well as Potential Profit. The Potential Profit includes commission.
